THE NORMAL REGISTRATION PROCEDURES CONTINUE
SIXTH EDITION OF THE VENICE INTERNATIONAL DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL

Corona Virus is a flu virus like many others.
The organizational journey of the sixth edition of the Venice International Dragon Boat Festival will continue without any particular changes, even more so because the event is scheduled for Friday 29 May 2020, that is to say in about 100 days.
What most characterizes the Corona Virus is its genetic novelty.
As written by many virologists, the human body, not knowing this type of virus, easily becomes infected. But just as easily, the human body of an adult and healthy person eliminates the virus and heals in a few days.
The problem of such alarmism in the Italian institutions can be summarized in two main reasons:
1) people coming from China were not stopped in due time with flights calling in EU states or intermediate stops;
2) the Corona Virus, being a "new" virus for our immune system, is very aggressive. A mass infection would require the use of many hospital beds. At this time, the Italian health service is unable to absorb a large number of infected at hospital facilities. This is the reason why the Italian state and many Italian regions have asked the population to stay at home and not to go to public places (schools, museums, gyms, etc.).
Should there be any news relating to new problems of contagion from Corona Virus, the Organizing Committee will promptly inform the crews.

CONTINUANO LE NORMALI PROCEDURE DI ISCRIZIONE
SESTA EDIZIONE DEL VENICE INTERNATIONAL DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL
29 MAGGIO 2020
Il Corona Virus è un virus influenzale al pari di molti altri.
Il cammino organizzativo della sesta edizione del Venice International Dragon Boat Festival continuerà senza particolari variazioni, a maggior ragione perché la manifestazione è prevista per venerdì 29 maggio 2020, cioè tra circa 100 giorni.
Ciò che caratterizza maggiormente il Corona Virus è la sua novità genetica.
Come scritto da molti virologi, il corpo umano, non conoscendo questa tipologia di virus, si infetta facilmente. Ma altrettanto facilmente, il corpo umano di una persona adulta e in salute, elimina il virus e guarisce in pochi giorni.
Il problema di tanto allarmismo nelle Istituzioni italiane è riassumibile in due principali motivi:
1) non sono state fermate a tempo debito le persone che provenivano dalla Cina con voli che facevano scalo in Stati UE o scali intermedi;
2) il Corona Virus, essendo un virus “nuovo” per il nostro sistema immunitario, è molto aggressivo. Un’infezione di massa richiederebbe l’uso di molti posti letto negli ospedali. In questo momento, il servizio sanitario italiano non è capace di assorbire un grande numero di infetti presso le strutture ospedaliere. Questo è il motivo per cui lo Stato italiano e molte regioni italiane hanno chiesto alla popolazione di rimanere a casa e di non frequentare luoghi pubblici (scuole, musei, palestre, ecc.).
Nel caso ci fossero novità relative a nuove problematiche di contagio da Corona Virus, il Comitato Organizzatore provvederà prontamente ad informare gli equipaggi.
