General Information
5th Venice International Dragon Boat Festival
When: 7th June 2019.
Where: S. Alvise, Venice, Italy.
The opening ceremony will be held on Friday 7th June 2019 starting from 5.30pm along the Grand Canal.
Note: Please see the instructions that can be found in the Festival programme below.
When: 8th June 2019.
Where: S. Alvise, Venice, Italy.
Distance: 200 metres.
Heats/Finals:2 heats and finals.
Categories: Club/Sport – Social/Amateur - Breast Cancer Survivors.
The entries will remain open until the final decision of the Organising Committee.

The programme for the Festival is as follows:
7th June Afternoon – parade of dragon boats along the Grand Canal and Eye-dotting Ceremony (the participating teams will be informed with an email which will contain specific information of the embarkation, the route and the disembarkation).
Team meeting for parade: at 4.30pm at Sport Center Costantino Reyer - S. Alvise – Cannaregio 3163
(the parade will end at around 7.00pm at the same point as the departure).
A small aperitif will follow (book through attachment 1 in the Bulletin 2).
8th June Arrival at the regatta course, at 10:00am
Captain’s Meeting,at 10:00am
1st round of heats, from 11:00am to 12:30pm approx
Lunch Break, Food and drink service available (book through attachment 1)
2nd round of heats, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm approx
(all teams will participate in 2 heats and 1 final)
FINALS, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm
Medal Ceremonies will be held after the completion of the last Final.
This programme may be subject to changes. In case of adverse weather conditions,
the Festival will be cancelled and 50% of the Festival Registration fee (ONLY) will be refunded.

The programme for the pick-up of dragon boats provided by Venice Canoe & Dragon Boat is as follows:
9th June Meeting,from 7:00am to 8:00am, at Sports Center Costantino Reyer - S. Alvise – Cannaregio 3163
Signing of disclaimers for the responsibility of damages to the boats
Consignment of boats and explanation of the route S.Alvise- S. Marco
Vogalonga- once completed, return to S.Alvise, by and no later than 2.00pm
Cleaning of boats, from rubbish, foodstuffs and drinks
