Accommodation & Transport

Getting Around

Arriving  by plane and/or train: we recommend that you book your accommodation, as soon as possible, in the hotels, B&Bs and pensions in Venice (historical centre).

Arriving by car: as well as using the suggestion mentioned above (for who arrives by plane/train), you can also book accommodation on the mainland. It is recommended that you book in hotels located near public transport stops that take you to Venice P.le Roma (bus), the Ferrovia (train) and San Zaccharia (ferry boat stop for who comes from Punta Sabbioni).

Do not underestimate the time taken to travel with public transport, in Venice’s historical centre you move either by waterbus or on foot.

Both for the Festival and for the Vogalonga, it is necessary to be present at the event sites no later than 08:00am (for the Vogalonga it is preferable to be present at 07:00am).
